Elmira Chicken Order Pickup is Wednesday, November 28th

The Elmira Chicken Pickup takes place this Wednesday, November 28th, between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm.  Pickup will take place in the school’s front foyer.  The pickup is only for those students who sold Elmira product.  Please remember that we do not have freezer space at the school; arrangements must be made for all product to be picked up on Wednesday.  We appreciate all those who were able to support the fundraiser!

Poinsettia Pickup is Tuesday, November 27th

DGH community, Poinsettias that were order through the Parent Council’s Poinsettia Fundraiser will be available for pickup on Tuesday, November 27th between 2 and 5 pm.  Pickup will take place in our school’s front foyer.  The Parent Council appreciates all those who were able to support the fundraiser.

Let It Snow Christmas Craft Sale at DGH This Friday!

Don’t forget that the DGH Parent Council will be hosting its first Christmas Craft Sale (Let It Snow) THIS Friday, November 30th.  It takes place in the DGH Gym between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm.  Our Parent Council has been busy recruiting a variety of vendors, selling a wide variety of crafts to appeal to almost everyone!  Our Parent Council is hoping for a large turnout from our school community (and that our school community will encourage others to attend too) so that they can make this an annual event.  Please encourage family and friends to attend!

Don’t forget, DGH community, that Thursday, November 22 is our next Spirit Day: PJ Day! The Student Council is asking for a $1 donation – which they use to support charitable causes. Make sure they are warm PJs – it is going to be cold tomorrow!

TLAC Applications Are Now Open for Grades 7 and 8 Students

What is TLAC?  TLAC is an arts camp for Grade 7 through 12 students that will take place on May 19 to 24, 2019 at Camp White Pine in Haliburton. TLAC offers specialized instruction for Music, Drama, Musical Theatre, Dance, and Visual Art within an exciting camp experience. The arts camp is set up as a typical high school day with four periods. There are evening concerts featuring performances from major artists, a presentation from local visual artists, and an art display. This enriched arts experience is enhanced by the summer camp atmosphere.


Early bird registrations are due December 20, 2018 for a $50 savings.

The deadline for all registrations is January 18, 2019

Grade 4 Christmas String Art For Sale

Interested in a unique and handmade Christmas piece of art?  Then Ms. Clements’ class has an amazing opportunity for you!  You can purchase an individually created String Art piece created by one of the grade 4s in her class.  The photo attached to this post shows what the String Art will look like.  Click on the link below to access the Google Form in which you order these pieces of art.


All of the profits made from this sale will go towards the grade 4s “build” project that will take place later this year.
