Thank you, DGH Parent Council, for purchasing a pumpkin for each class!  Each class decorated their pumpkin (in whatever way they wished) and added it to the “Pumpkin Gallery.”  As you can tell by the pictures, we have some extremely creative classrooms.  Thank you, Ms. Arscott and Ms. Horton, for organizing!

WE Scare Hunger at DGH is Still On!

DGH community, our WE Student Council team is currently running its WE Scare Hunger programme.  We are asking those families who are able to donate a food item(s) to the Student Council food drive.  All of the food raised will go to the Little Britain/Mariposa Food Bank.  This allows the WE Team to support a local charity – one of its major goals over the school year.  Canned goods, like fruits and vegetables, pastas and pasta sauces, and other dry goods are always great items to contribute.  Simply send in food items with your daughter or son, and the items will be collected.  The Student Council appreciates all of our community’s support.

Halloween Costumes

DGH community, we are looking forward to the amazing Halloween costumes that we are sure to see next Wednesday, October 31st.  There is always a wonderful mix of personally created and store bought costumes!  A reminder that costumes do need to be school appropriate.  Weapons (such as guns, swords and knives) should not be brought to school.  As well, masks should not be worn at school.
