MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) visits DGH on Thursday, November 2 to reinforce its message about the dangers of drunk driving. Information on MADD is available on the link below. Our grade 7 and 8 students will receive this presentation.
Our grade 7 and 8 students are only a few short years away from driving. Continuing to reinforce the importance of not driving while impaired with alcohol or drugs is incredibly important. According to the MADD website, an average of 4 people a day in Canada are killed in accidents in which the presence of alcohol and/or drugs was detected in drivers. Unfortunately, young drivers are the most likely to be involved in accidents and the use of alcohol and/or drugs only increases these odds.
Thank you, MADD, for spreading this critically important message.
