Students, you can have A LOT of fun on this Spirit Day!  Yes, you can simply wear the above colours.  But, really, you can go much further!  Just how creative can you be?  We have had some pretty impressive creativity in past Spirit Days – so we have high expectations for this day!  You know the themes that go with Valentine’s Day, so show your Huskies’ spirit students!

A reminder to our grade 8 students and parents, that LCVI will be holding its Grade 9 Information Night on Tuesday, February 9th.  The night begins at 6:30 p.m. and lasts until roughly 8:00 p.m..  This is a great night for parents and students to check out the high school, learn about how a high school operates and reduce some of the possible anxiety about the transition to high school!  High school staff may have done this a few times!

LCVI is the high school which the majority of DGH’s students attend – and Spartan Pride runs deep in the community!

Tubing for Mr. H’s, Ms. G’s and Mrs. R’s Classes on Wednesday, February 10th!

Hopefully the cold(ish) weather remains to February 10th!  Mrs. Read has once again organized a tubing and cross-country skiing trip for the intermediate classes, along with Mr. Hetherington’s grade 5/6 class.  It is a popular trip each year and one that is a blast for the kids.

Permission forms should have gone already (or will be soon), so please came an eye out for them.  Keep your fingers crossed so that we will have enough snow.  It is a little bit different than last year when we had to cancel the trip (at least once) due to the extreme cold!

We see you back at school on Monday.
